Park Avenue (1946) -

Music: Arthur Schwartz
Lyrics: Ira Gershwin
Book: George S Kaufman & Nunnally Johnson
The unique teaming of Pulitzer prize winner Kaufman (Guys And Dolls, A Night At The Opera & The Man Who Came To Dinner), Johnson (Roxie Hart), Gershwin (Porgy And Bess) and Schwartz (That's Entertainment & Dancing In The Dark) led to a madcap spoof on divorce amongst the wealthy, like Sondheim and Furth's Company, Park Avenue satirically examines relationships, the score features the song, Don't Be A Woman If You Can. This is the European debut of this 'lost' material.
